The Feeling of Helplessness

There is always a time or a moment in our lives when we question our actions and our ways. The outcomes are not in our favour and we are in doubt of ourselves. This could be a momentary thought or could last for years.

When the feeling of helplessness lasts for a period of time it leads to frustration, anxiety, depression anger and many more such feelings that are part of our emotional process. The need for us to be more adaptable to such thoughts is what the need of the hour is coming to.

In my experience of interacting with persons of ailments like depression are that they are free from the responsibility of the self and others. They are provided with all that is needed and they spend their time in wallowing in their helplessness of themselves.

For Anxiety and Frustration persons, I have noticed that people are not concerned with the solution and focus a lot on the problem at hand. They have a sense of helplessness where the solution can resolve their stress but are reluctant to focus on the solution.

For stressed persons, they are not able to prioritize their work and have discipline in their work or personal routines. This leads to chaos and multiple tasks to be accomplished in a short duration which leads to stress.

Likewise, the other ailments that people face are a matter of choice that one has to make for the betterment of their mental status and get out of the feeling of helplessness.

The solutions for all the problems are fairly straightforward and to the point, the challenge is of implementing these solutions in one’s life and that’s where the need for counsellors, mentors and coaches comes to motivate the person to build their own capabilities and confidence in themselves.
